Do people in NYC pay water bill?
New York City properties are assessed for water and sewer services based upon the amount of water consumed between their prior and current water meter readings. Water meters are read in cubic feet (1 cubic foot = 7.48 gallons). We bill in hundred cubic foot (HCF) units 1 HCF = 748 gallons.
How often is a NYC water bill due?
Most small properties in NYC are now billed on metered usage as measured by the water meter in their property. Water meters are read once every four hours by an automated meter reading device and bills are generated once every three months for most customers.
