Pay Using Your Banking Institution’s Online Bill Pay

You may pay your water bill online and avoid a service fee by using your banking institution’s online bill payment option. Since this payment comes directly from your bank account to the Clayton County Water Authority (just like a mailed check), you are not charged a service fee. To use this option, you will need to log on to your banking institution’s web site.

If your service has been disconnected due to non-payment, you must make your reconnection payment before 3 p.m. for your service to be reconnected on the same day. Service will not be reconnected until the next business day if your payment is made after 3 p.m.

Walmart offers walk-in bill paying services that allow customers to pay utility, landline phone, cable/satellite, credit card and auto or wireless phone bills for a small convenience fee. Payments may be made using cash or a pin-based debit card. To make payment:

  • Take your current water bill to any Walmart location
  • Make a payment in cash or with a pin-based debit card
  • For a fee of $.88, payments will be delivered to CCWA (or other entity) within three business days
  • For a fee of $1.88, payments will be delivered to CCWA (or other entity) the next business day
  • Once the transaction is processed, the customer receives a receipt as proof of payment
